ASUS, AT CES 2021 A NOTEBOOK FOR DISTANCE EDUCATION

In addition to the new ZenBook Duo, Asus also announced new laptops, Chromebooks and education systems during CES 2021.
The new VivoBook S14 (S435) is an elegant and very light notebook, with a 14 “screen and Intel Evo certification. It is equipped with 11th generation Intel Core i7 and Iris Xe integrated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM, PCIe SSD up to 1TB and Intel Optane H10 memory. The notebook also integrates Asus Intelligent Performance technology, which allows you to increase performance by up to 40% and at the same time protects the battery, improving cooling efficiency and ensuring high silence.
The Asus VivoBook S14 weighs only 1.3kg, for a thickness of 15.9mm. It integrates USB C ports with support for Thunderbolt 4 and fast charging, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type A ports, USB 2.0 and a microSD card reader, allowing you to easily connect any peripheral. Connectivity to the network is guaranteed by support for the new WiFi 6 standard.

Asus also unveiled two new Chromebooks, the CX9 (CX9400) and the Flip CX5 (CX5500). Based on Google’s ChromeOS operating system, these new laptops are designed for those who make the most of the cloud and collaboration tools.
The Chromebook CX9 is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, supports WiFi 6 connectivity and offers quality audio thanks to two Harman Kardon speakers. USB C with Thunderbolt 4, USB A ports and HDMI output allow you to connect everything you need, while the 14-inch NanoEdge display with Full HD resolution and anti-glare treatment allows you to work anywhere without difficulty, even when you are traveling or simply out of the office.

With a thickness of only 16mm, chassis in magnesium alloy and a weight of about 1kg, the new Chromebook CX9 is perfect to carry around; compliance with American military standards MIL-STD 810H ensures great resistance, allowing you to travel with it in your backpack without any worries.
The Chromebook Flip CX5 instead offers a 15.6 ”screen and is designed for young people who want a fast, easy to use and always connected system. The 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor and WiFi 6 connectivity with Asus WiFi Stabilizer allow you to make the most of cloud applications, including those dedicated to gaming such as Google Stadia and Nvidia GeForce Now, for an uncompromising gaming experience.

The notebook is equipped with a 57Wh battery, which offers up to 12 hours of battery life. To complete the hardware equipment we find a 512GB SSD, up to 16GB of RAM and a microSD card reader.
The Asus BR1100 is a notebook designed for students who are facing difficult times in distance learning. Featuring an ultra-tough shell and ergonomic design, it’s built to withstand bumps and drops, thanks to rubber bumpers lining the outer edges, a splash-resistant keyboard and military standard compliance.
It will be available in two form factors, convertible and clamshell, allowing students to choose the one that best suits their needs. The convertible model also integrates a stylus, inserted in a special housing, so as to improve freehand writing or drawing.

The new Asus BR1100 is powered by an Intel Pentium Silver processor that offers more than adequate performance to ensure a smooth user experience with all the distance learning tools that have spread over the last year. The 42Wh battery allows you to get to the end of the day without problems, even when you are away from the power outlet.
The laptop integrates Asus-developed bi-directional noise reduction technology, WiFi 6 connectivity, webcam protection, dedicated microphone mute key and a 4G LTE modem (optional), perfect for staying connected.

The technical data sheet is completed by up to 16GB of RAM, up to 128GB of eMMC memory and a 1TB M.2 SSD, with all the space needed to store lecture notes and more. The supplied ports provide everything you need to make the most of your laptop: USB 3.2 Gen1 type A, USB 3.2 Gen2 type C, HDMI output and microSD card reader.
We close with the new ExpertBook B9 (B9400 vPro): dedicated to companies and professionals, the new ExpertBook uses an 11th generation Intel Core processor with vPro technology, so as to guarantee the safety and performance necessary even for those who work from home

This notebook also complies with the American military standards MIL-STD 810H and integrates WiFi 6 connectivity, there is also a TPM 2.0 chip that adds an additional layer of security. ExpertBook B9 will be available in two different versions: the first will have a 33Wh battery and will weigh only 880 grams, the second will reach 1kg but will have a 66Wh battery, capable of offering enough autonomy to cover a working day.
